Branch Offices Reach Out in the Community

Branch offices have been busy this fall with a variety of community outreach efforts helping, serving and having fun!

White Bear Lake Office Helps Seniors with Yard Cleanup

Fourteen agents from the White Bear Lake office partnered with Northeast Youth and Family Services to help in its Annual Senior Yard Clean-up for deserving seniors who have requested assistance with outside work. This year the office helped two homeowners rake, mow and blow leaves, put away patio furniture, etc. Office staff helped to organize the effort.

Says Chuck Stout, branch manager of the White Bear Lake office, “This is the fourth year we’ve participated, and it’s a very fun event for our office. We know how important it is to many older adults to remain living in their own homes, so we’re happy to be able to help them do that by handling some of the heavier outdoor chores.”

Hudson Office Serves Dinner at Grace Place

The Hudson office gathered at Grace Place to serve dinner to almost 40 people who need a place to sleep. Grace Place, offers shelter to families and single individuals in the St. Croix River Valley, including residents of St. Croix, Pierce and Polk Counties. Agents, friends and families helped to make a big batch of delicious chili and served it with garlic bread and bars for dessert. Grace Place is the Hudson office’s Foundation partner and the beneficiary of its yearly grant.

“This outreach effort is so worthwhile and took less than two hours, so it doesn’t take a lot of time to make a difference,” says Sara Nielsen. “Grace Place is so grateful for the contribution. I’m hoping we serve another dinner soon and get even more agents involved!”

Apple Valley Office Hosts Indoor Trick or Treating

The Apple Valley office hosted a trick or treating Event on Saturday, October 28, which was a wonderful success.  Sales associates decorated the office with a Superhero theme and  invited clients to bring their kids for indoor trick or treating.  Guests were invited to contribute bedding and linens to support charitable partner Bridging and the many clients it serves.
